Lake House

This project was a design-build project that included scraping an old house and designing and rebuilding a new home that captures the beautiful views of Lake Loveland and the mountains behind it.  As an iconic representation of Northern Colorado, our clients wanted to maximize everything the property has to offer while keeping a simple, low maintenance floor plan with an open layout.  Our idea was to incorporate the incredible view right from the moment you walk in the front door and center the entire home around this feature.  At the same time, the layout keeps an efficient, simple flow that is very practical and functional.  Our clients also wanted to minimize the maintenance as much as possible on the inside and outside of the home.  To accomplish this, we utilized durable hardwood flooring and hard white ash doors and trim in the home, and a concrete and steel structured deck overlooking the lake out of the back of the home.  We used our design software to help our client visualize the view of the lake out of their back windows.  You can see our initial rendering and the final product in these two pictures.  See the slideshow of project pictures below or click the Show Thumbnails link to see the full gallery of this home.
