Modern Colorado Farmhouse

The design of this home was focused on maximizing the space used for a growing family of six.  The Mudroom was a large room that served access to the Garage, the Kitchen, and the outdoors.  Large lockers and full size cabinets is perfect for a landing area for the kids.  A sliding barn door that separates the Mudroom from the Butler’s pantry is a functional and beautiful way to separate the mudroom from the rest of the home.  The sliding barn door along with herringbone patterned tile and stained trimmed lockers in the Mudroom makes the room more of a featured area of the home rather than a hidden area for shoes.

The Kitchen and Great Room serve as the main living area of the home with a elaborately trimmed fireplace and large counter.  The cantilevered balcony above makes the room feel grand and pronounced.  To maximize functionality, the laundry room was located upstairs with the kids while a second washer and dryer hook up was placed in the Master Closet for convenience.  Large front and back decks, brick fireplace chimneys, and white board and batten gables finish off this authentic farmhouse style home.
