Park Lane
In Estes Park, we were involved in a commercial renovation in the down town retail district. The original building was built in the early 1900’s and was added onto throughout the past decade. The foundation consisted of stacked stones and partial posts. The renovation included stripping the building down to the studs and foundation and restructuring it’s core frame. The owner wanted to preserve the history and culture of the building, so we preserved parts of the original log building and stone foundation while placing new concrete foundations under them for new support. Inside, we preserved old an old chandelier fixture, historic vaulted framing, original door jams and transoms, and a bead board lined attic dormer. All new
drywall, electrical wiring, plumbing, and HVAC units were added to make this historic building a brand new sense of function. Today, it hosts two different retail areas and a multi-suite office space.
